I've not been here long, but I have encountered some wonderful people and seen some beautiful things. Such online exchanges needn't be reduced to words on a screen - the kind words of you DeviantArtists have really touched my heart. For this, I thank you for making this an amazing time for me.
As such, I cannot turn a blind eye to two particularly underrated entities here at DA. They will not bite, rather, they will embrace you in their own unique way.
Quickly, know that you secret poets out there are welcome at the uprising of TheWriterGang where the hardworking admins aim to make a happy community of writers, and give you prompts as an opportunity to be featured in a YouTube reading of your poem! Give them a look, and you will not regret it.
Now for the energising and delicious... Well, highly pleasant elephant in the room, the hot potato.
I'm only realising now how this can be taken the wrong way. Please don't, dear Rua-Vasilis. That's right people, say hello to your new (literally, they joined four weeks ago the maniac) best poet friend on DA.
, who is currently studying literature, has been nothing short of kind to me, commenting on my stuff with their amazing interpretations, questions, and insights into the world. It is a joy reading what they have to say! Their poetry (and look, they've uploading heaps in such a short amount of time so don't you dare call Rua lazy) is deep and experimental, and it's great to see them so eager to stretch their wings, the Angel.
I mean, hot potato.
Additionally, Rua has started a weekly, devoted and heartwarming, feature of someone they think deserves it here at DA. I am only dream of doing it, and I won't offer excuses, but they're very proactive! Imagine my surprise at their kind feature of me, lil ol' PeriodicFable me, for this week's feature! Lots of exclamation points must convey to you how honoured and humbled I am, yes?! The previous two artists featured are well deserving of it too, so go check them x2 out!
In short, an amazing thing has happened to me amongst my joyous encounters with other DeviantArtists;

Writer Appreciation - Week 3I apologise that this journal is coming a little late, I have been rather busy this past week but anyhow, enough of the excuses and let's get down to the matter at hand!
I believe that this specific writer deserves to be featured today for several reasons, but the main reason being this: their work, and by extension, their self, is the embodiment of ambiguity. Each poem is intricately crafted with an assortment of conceits and emotions loosely woven together, all to provoke our already vivid imaginations to see something that may or not even be there. But it is. Just as it is not. And that is the beauty of ambiguity. That is why I am truly fascinated and enthralled by this writer's work. Anything and everything can come to mind. Our thoughts are made limitless by their liberating words.

Entering a new era
Thought it was high time I update my journals, as they say!
I haven't been very active on DeviantArt for at least the last year. It's not because I do not value the platform, nor the positive connections and memories I've had here. Rather, real life has taken the driver's seat.
I am in university studying my Bachelor's degree in Journalism. This year I am also an editor for my university's publication, and on top of that I am a subeditor for a new publication my colleagues are heading. This is the most busy, exciting, new, (did I mention busy?!) and joyous time of my life... thus far!

I honestly believe we all talk to ourselves, in some way or another. Today, and I am sorry to hop onto the soapbox, but I wish to open a discussion with you. Communication between me and those whom I watch, and those who I watch, matters to me.
I an attempt to talk with myself in a positive light today, I found myself reflecting on my time and presence here. In fact, after examining my profile to clean up any messy bits I did not like, I realised I have one hundred artists watching me.
